On Saturday, October 7^th, 2023, this year’s “ORF Long Night of Museums” takes place throughout Austria. For the 23^rd time, the ORF is initiating this cultural event, which allows you to visit a variety of museums with just one ticket. Numerous museums and galleries are involved this year and will open their doors from 6 pm to 1 am.

In addition to a wide variety of exhibitions, there are also many exciting and special events. Visitors can choose their personal highlights from the rich offer and visit all participating museums and events with just one ticket. Do not miss this unique opportunity: In addition to small and curious, and large and renowned cultural institutions, many new locations are waiting to be discovered by the “Long Night” visitors.

Treffpunkt Museum

A meeting point for all visitors is the “Treffpunkt Museum”, or “Museum Information Point”, where most of the walking and bus routes start.

Tickets, booklets and information on the walking and bus routes are available at each Museum Information Point.

Tickets

Tickets are available in advance at all participating museums and cultural institutions and can also be purchased at the “Museum Information Point”, situated in every state capital, on the night itself.

Ticket prices are € 15.— (regular ticket) and € 12.— (reduced price for Ö1 Club members, school children, students, senior citizens, disabled persons, and males in their obligatory term of military or civilian service). Regional tickets are € 6.— and entitle ticket holders to visit regional museums. Free admission for children aged twelve and under.

Booklets

The booklets provide information on the programme. They are available for free in all participating cultural institutions as well as at the “Museum Information Point” and can be downloaded on this website (in German only).

A Special Event for Children

All museums offering a special children’s programme are marked with the keyword “Kinderprogramm” in the infobox “Categories”.

In the “Kinderpass”, you can collect a stamp for every visit in one of these specific museums. For three stamps or more, a small surprise awaits the kids at the “Museum Information Point”. Those who do not have the opportunity to visit the “Museum Information Point”, may send their stamped “Kinderpass” to:
