Währing District Museum
The museum’s permanent exhibition traces the history of the villages which now make up the district of Währing. A particular focus is put on everyday life around 1900. The exhibition also pays tribute to notable personalities who lived in the district, as well as to well-known businesses that were based in Währing. The wooden sculpture ‘The Dying Virgin Mary Surrounded by the Apostles’ by the Danube School, dating from around 1520, is also worth seeing.
