Museum of the Schottenstift Abbey
A highlight of the museum is the Schottenmeister's altarpiece with the oldest topographically accurate depiction of medieval Vienna. The exhibition also includes numerous paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries and the Viennese Biedermeier period, as well as selected pieces of furniture and liturgical equipment.
GUIDED TOUR OF THE MUSEUM AND THE LIBRARY (AT 8 PM AND AT 9.30 PM)
Guided tours allow visitors access to the library, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful libraries in Europe, and is usually closed to the public.
