Das Naturhistorische Museum Wien ist eine kulturhistorische Kostbarkeit und eine bedeutende naturwissenschaftliche Institution, in deren über 270 Jahre alten Sammlungen 30 Millionen Objekte wissenschaftlich betreut werden. Zu den Highlights zählen die Venus von Willendorf, die Stellersche Seekuh und ein neuer Saal für Wissenschaftskommunikation (Deck 50).

The scientific naming of newly discovered animal and plant species is a science in itself. Often species differ merely in tiny details that can only be recognised under the microscope. Join the special programme with micro show and microscopy in the laboratory on 'Deck 50' to find out!
