Architekturzentrum Wien
The Architekturzentrum Wien (Az W) in the MuseumsQuartier is the Austrian museum of architecture. It shows, discusses, and researches the ways in which architecture and urban development influence and shape everyone's daily lives.
The Az W currently presents the exhibition ‘Abundance Not Capital. Anupama Kundoo’ and the permanent exhibition ‘Hot Questions – Cold Storage’ on Austrian architecture. What can architecture do? This question concerns us all!
THINKING WITH A PEN (7 PM-9 PM)
The Architekturzentrum Wien turns into a drawing room. Everybody can draw at the Az W (0–99)! Sketching – doodling – scratching: Explore the rooms and objects with a pen! The Dietmar Steiner Library in the historical octagon and the exhibitions ‘Abundance Not Capital. Anupama Kundoo’ and ’Hot Questions – Cold Storage’ are home to many models and objects opening up exciting new perspectives.
Immerse yourself in the world of architecture for an evening! The Az W educators will give tips on drawing techniques and will share stories about the objects in the exhibitions and the library. Paper, pads, and pens will be provided.
