Architekturzentrum Wien

The Architekturzentrum Wien (Az W) in the MuseumsQuartier is the Austrian museum of architecture. It shows, discusses, and researches the ways in which architecture and urban development influence and shape everyone's daily lives. The broad programme of the Architekturzentrum Wien is seen as a bridge between expert knowledge and everyday life. It currently includes the exhibition ‘Global – Neutral. Architecture from Austria in Africa and Asia 1955–1989’, the permanent exhibition ‘Hot Questions – Cold Storage’, and a variety of educational formats.

ARCHITECTURE JUKEBOX – YOU CHOOSE, IT ANSWERS! (AGES 6–99) (6 PM-8 PM)

The Jukebox answers questions such as ‘How do we want to live?’, ‘Who is looking after us?’, ‘How do we survive?’ and many more, using objects from the permanent exhibition ‘Hot Questions – Cold Storage’. Every seven minutes, visitors can ask the most pressing questions about the exhibition.

WHO ARE WE? (AT 8 PM AND AT 9 PM)

Architecture is a key instrument of nation-building. This guided tour combines insights gained from the permanent collection ‘Hot Questions – Cold Storage’ with projects of the exhibition ‘Global – Neutral’, revealing fascinating interconnections.
