Architekturzentrum Wien
The Architekturzentrum Wien (Az W) in the MuseumsQuartier is the Austrian museum of architecture. It shows, discusses and researches the ways in which architecture and urban development influence and shape everyone's daily lives.
The Az W presents the permanent exhibition ‘Hot Questions – Cold Storage’ on Austrian architecture and currently two special exhibitions.
‘From Tableware to a Prefabricated Housing: The Architect and Designer Carl Auböck (1924–1993)’: Marking the hundredth anniversary of Carl Auböck’s birth and the acquisition of his archive by the Az W Collection, the exhibition offers insights into his cosmopolitan life and work.
Every two years, the exhibition ‘Europe's Best Buildings. Mies van der Rohe Award’ highlights outstanding architectural projects from across Europe.
