Vienna Furniture Museum
The Vienna Furniture Museum houses collections of furniture and interiors from the periods of Baroque and Rococo, Empire and Biedermeier, Historicism, Viennese Modernism, and from the 20th and 21st centuries.
The current special exhibition ‘Made in Austria. Furniture Design 1948–1960’ focuses on modern furniture design in post-war Austria.
HIGHLIGHT TOUR OF THE PERMANENT EXHIBITION (AT 7 PM, AT 9 PM AND AT 11 PM)
During a short guided tour, visitors can learn more about the Habsburg legacy, the Biedermeier period, and Wagner, Hoffmann, and Loos (duration: approx. 45 minutes).
GUIDED TOUR OF THE SPECIAL EXHIBITION ‘MADE IN AUSTRIA. FURNITURE DESIGN 1948–1960’ (AT 6.30 PM, AT 8 PM AND AT 10 PM)
On this guided tour of the special exhibition, visitors will learn about the redesigning of the homes, distinguished by craftsmanship, sustainability, and a wide variety of forms (duration: approx. 45 minutes, maximum number of participants: 25).

GILDING – UPHOLSTERY – JOINERY (6 PM-10 PM)
Experts from the museum's own workshops will give you a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes as they demonstrate how professionals restore, gild, and upholster historical furniture.
CRAFTING STUDIO FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS (6 PM-10 PM)
Focus: upcycling/recycling.
Ages five and over, subject to availability of materials.
