Scouting Museum and Institute of Scouting History
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Scouts Guild of Austria (PGÖ) and the 50th anniversary of the Austrian Boy Scouts and Girl Guides (PPÖ), the focus of this year’s exhibition is on the history of the two organisations’ relationship. The exhibition interweaves the work with children and young people with active Scouting life. The title ‘Once a Scout, always a Scout’ emphasises this sense of togetherness. The PPÖ section of the exhibition provides information about the organisation’s early years and all the exciting developments that have taken place since. The PGÖ section showcases the Guild’s extensive social initiatives and outlines its future plans.
At the interactive stations, the focus is on getting to know the Scout and Guild movements – and, of course, on the fun of discovering and experiencing new things.
