Austrian National Library – State Hall
Visit one of the most beautiful historical library halls in the world: the State Hall of the Austrian National Library. With its 200,000 valuable books, the room conveys the authentic image of a Baroque universal library of the 18th century.
‘A Century in Pictures. Austria 1925–2025’: The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Austria's liberation from the Nazis at the end of the Second World War, the 70th anniversary of the State Treaty of 1955, and 30 years since Austria's accession to the European Union. The Austrian National Library is taking these three anniversaries as an opportunity to invite visitors on an emotional journey through time, exploring iconic photographs, newspapers, and TV clips.
