KMA – Austro-Hungarian Navy Archive
It is often overlooked that Austria once had a navy and a merchant navy, given that Dalmatia, Istria, Trieste, and Venice were once part of Austria. The Austro-Hungarian Navy Archive aims to preserve the memory of the navy through models, artefacts, uniforms, and a specialist library.
The archive is usually open only to members or by prior appointment. The ‘ORF Long Night of Museums’ once again offers the general public the opportunity to discover the KMA and also some of its many new acquisitions.
