Alsergrund District Museum
Discover the district's history: from lost crafts to the porcelain manufactory, from Beethoven to Schubert, from Doderer to Fried. Original maps, a Lohner scooter, Viennese washerwomen, a unicorn, and a manticore provide fascinating insights into Vienna’s eventful past.
The museum has a diverse permanent exhibition on the history of the ninth district, as well as memorial rooms dedicated to Sigmund Freud, Heimito von Doderer, and Erich Fried, and a room dedicated to religion.
