Circus & Clown Museum
Vienna’s funniest museum takes you on a journey into the colourful world of the circus, of clowns, and of variety shows. At the Circus & Clown Museum, visitors can explore original props, costumes, posters, and rare photographs spanning over 200 years of circus history. The exhibition showcases famous clowns, performers, and magicians, as well as almost forgotten Viennese circus legends, and highlights how much circuses and clowning have shaped entertainment culture.
Interactive stations and surprising exhibits allow visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the circus arena and reveal that behind the laughter there lies a great deal of artistry, skill, and history.
On this night, the museum will be transformed into a real circus: featuring shows by Ju Fool, Austria’s youngest clown and magician, and the Fools Brothers. Clown and magic shows for children at 6 pm and 7 pm, as well as variety shows every hour on the hour from 8 pm, offer magical and humorous insights into the clowns’ art: clowns, performers, and circus legends – an evening full of wonder, laughter, and circus magic for the whole family.
