Weltmuseum Wien
Besuchen Sie das Museum der Vielfalt! Im Weltmuseum Wien finden Sie über 3.000 Objekte, die als Botschafter und Geschichtenerzähler aller Kontinente präsentiert werden. Sie berichten von ihren ursprünglichen Eigentümer:innen und davon, unter welchen Umständen sie ihren Weg in das Museum gefunden haben.
Mit dem Ausstellungshighlight „Auf dem Rücken der Kamele“ stellt das Weltmuseum Wien im Hochparterre das Zusammenleben mit Kamelen und ihren Verwandten, und wie es Kulturen prägt, vor. Kamele sind die Lebensgrundlage für viele Menschen dieser Welt und Teil ihrer kulturellen Identität.
Im partizipativen Raum „zam“ finden Sie „(Un)Known Artists of the Amazon“. Die Ausstellung ist eine Kooperation des Weltmuseums Wien mit dem privaten Museu de Arte Indígena (MAI) in Curitiba, Brasilien. Inhaltlich kreist die Ausstellung um die indigene Kunst Brasiliens und deren veränderte Wahrnehmung in der Öffentlichkeit.

Guided tour of the special exhibitions ‘On the Back of the Camels', ‘(Un)known Artists of the Amazon', and of the permanent exhibition.

MAKING CRAFTS FOR DÍA DE MUERTOS (FROM 7 PM)
In preparation for the Día de Muertos – the Mexican Day of the Dead – there is a creative station for young and old at the Weltmuseum Wien.
Duration: three hours, come and go.
TARI POCO POCO – DANCE WORKSHOP (AT 9 PM)
Learn Tari Poco Poco, an Indonesian line dance (no previous experience required – just a desire to dance!). This will be followed by an Indonesian dance performance. A co-operation of Weltmuseum Wien Friends with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Austrian Indonesian Society.
Duration: 60 minutes.
Meeting point: in front of the museum. Only in good weather.
