Josefstadt District Museum
The district museum showcases the development of Josefstadt from 1700 to the present day.
The special exhibition ‘Between Debris and a New Beginning. Josefstadt 1945-1955’ is complemented by a reading from diaries of Josefstadt residents with impressions of the end of the war.
The exhibition ‘Herwig Zens. Views of Vienna‘ is accompanied by the film ’Breathless’ about the artist’s oeuvre.
BETWEEN DEBRIS AND A NEW BEGINNING (AT 7 PM)
Actress Andrea Clausen, a member of the ensemble of Vienna’s Burgtheater, will read extracts from diaries from April 1945.
