House of Austrian History

Extraordinary objects, documents that have never been shown before, and interactive stations bring Austria's recent history to life.

The main exhibition ‘New Times: Austria Since 1918’ offers insights into the most important political, social, cultural, and economic developments of the past century. History is told right up to the present day, and from a present-day perspective.

In the special exhibition ‘Tune in! Austria in Between Propaganda and Protest’, fascinating audio examples provide a new perspective on recent Austrian history and on how Austria’s self-image has been shaped by media.
