Mariahilf District Museum
At the heart of the Mariahilf District Museum is a nine-square-metre model of Magdalenengrund as it appeared around 1900. It once was the poorest part of the district and was referred to as the ‘Rat City’. Other main topics at the museum include traditional trades, the Naschmarkt market, the Theater an der Wien theatre, and the art of stained glass in a collection that is unique in Austria.

The Urban Sketchers will sketch live at the museum, and their sketches will be presented in an exhibition immediately afterwards.
‘WE VIENNESE WASHERWOMEN’ (AT 9 PM)
Folklorist Ulli Fuchs shares fascinating facts about the cultural history of water in Vienna. Particular focus will be on the working conditions and living circumstances of the washerwomen on the Wien River.
