Rapideum

‘Rapid is history – become part of it!’ This phrase is displayed on the walls of the SK Rapid’s players’ changing room, just a few steps away from the club’s museum. There, you will find a fascinating overview of the 127-year history of Austria’s most successful football club, with three guided tours taking place throughout the evening.

Across 165 square meters, a wide variety of memorabilia awaits your discovery. The exhibition spans the period from the founding of the Erster Wiener Arbeiter-Fußball-Club (‘First Viennese Workers' Football Club’) in 1897, through its renaming as Sportclub Rapid in 1899, right up to the present day. Alongside 31 classic display cases, four video stations, and two stadium models that are faithful to the original, there are 59 hidden drawers and boxes that invite you to delve into the club’s history. The motto ‘Together. Fight. Win.’ sets the thematic tone. The focus is not just on sporting successes, but also on the club’s origins in the workers’ movement at Schmelz and on the research into SK Rapid’s history during the Nazi era.

MUSEUM TOURS (AT 6 PM, AT 8 PM AND AT 10 PM)
