Austrian Museum of Advertising at Breitenseer Lichtspiele
The Austrian Advertising Museum is located on the outskirts of the city. Outside of the ‘ORF Long Night of Museums’ it can only be visited by prior appointment. In addition to curiosities related to advertising, the Austrian Advertising Museum collects and documents advertising films from 1912 to the present day, focusing on commercials from 1945 to around 1985.
To make these often highly artistic, ultra-short films accessible to a wider audience, the museum has partnered with the Breitenseer Lichtspieltheater, Vienna's oldest operating cinema, for the 'ORF Long Night of Museums’. This year, the cinema is celebrating its 120th anniversary – a special occasion to celebrate together.
