Alfred Adler Center International (AACI)

The AACI hosts the Austrian Association for Individual Psychology, founded by Alfred Adler in 1912.

This year, the AACI is organising an evening event entitled ‘Forgetting, Remembering, Writing (Hi)Story: The Individual and Collective Processing of Experiences of War and Loss’. This event marks the beginning of the reorganisation of an Alfred Adler Museum, reflecting on the origins of Individual Psychology and looking ahead towards a future permanent exhibition.

OPENING AND ‘LAUNCH’ (AT 6 PM)

During a festive ceremony, Marina Bluvshtein, President of the IAIP (International Association of Individual Psychology), will hand over original documents by Alfred Adler.

FINDINGS, FRAGMENTS, FASCINATING ITEMS (AT 6.30 PM)

Horst Gröner will give an insight into his collection on the topic of Individual Psychology.

REREADING ALFRED ADLER'S CONCEPTS (AT 8 PM)

In this lecture, Elisabeth Ferstl examines the core ideas of Individual Psychology in close detail.

ALFRED ADLER AND SIGMUND FREUD – SCENES OF A DISPUTE (AT 9.30 PM)

Wilfried Datler and Barbara Neudecker provide a vivid account of the Adler-Freud disputes that led to the establishment of Individual Psychology.
