Alfred Adler Center International (AACI)
The AACI hosts the Austrian Association for Individual Psychology, which was founded by Alfred Adler in 1912.
‘Telling Stories of Resistance’ – The evening spans a range of topics from the resistance and persecution of Viennese female welfare workers, to literary perspectives on resistance under Austrofascism, to a guided tour of the Alfred Adler Museum, thereby bringing together Individual Psychology, literature and social engagement.

Welcome and introduction to the evening’s theme.
PERSECUTION AND RESISTANCE OF VIENNESE FEMALE WELFARE WORKERS 1934–1945 (AT 6.30 PM)
Social scientist Irene Messinger will speak about resistance, anti-Semitism and escape, using the example of the Individual Psychologist Alice Friedmann, and will present new documents and letters relating to Friedmann’s journey into exile.
MUSEUM TOUR (AT 8 PM)
Anita Schedl, President of the Austrian Association of Individual Psychology, will lead a guided tour of the permanent exhibition at the Alfred Adler Museum.
WORKSHOP READING (AT 9 PM)
Author Paul Ferstl will read from his novel *Rostrot* on themes of resistance during the Austrofascist era.
