Minoritenkirche – Italian Congregation of Mary of the Snows

2025 marks the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Congregation of Mary of the Snows and the 200th anniversary of the death of its most famous member, Antonio Salieri. A reason to celebrate at the ‘Long Night’ with a special exhibition, guided tours, and a musical programme with organ, trumpet, harp, and mezzo-soprano.

Founded in 1625 as the Marian Congregation in the Professed House of the Jesuit Order at the location Am Hof, the Italian Congregation has been based in the Minorite Church in Vienna since 1784. The special exhibition in the entrance area of the church deals with the history of the Italian Congregation and the Minorite Church in Vienna.
